Fourth grade Dogwood student Giada (pictured on the right) made American flag buttons to share with Principal Carptenter on September 11.
At her morning announcements, Mrs. Carpenter told the students, "Today is an important day in our history. September 11th is called remembrance Day or Patriot’s Day. It is a day to remember that amazing heroes are often disguised as ordinary people and that the spirit and soul of America are unbreakable. September 11th is dedicated to the men, women and children who lost their lives, the brave people who gave their lives and the heroes that responded to the emergency on September 11, 2001."
