Students from Mrs. Geldmacher and Mrs. Lawrence’s “History through Film” class were able to see a private showing of the new historical blockbuster The Boys in the Boat.
The story centers on the University of Washingtons rowing team, from their Depression-era beginnings to winning gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
Students will be researching and evaluating the historical accuracy of the film and will complete a film review where they will demonstrate an understanding of the events and time period of the movie.
