The best part of me is my eyes, my hands, my face!
Mt. Pleasant Elementary's Mrs. Waitz and Ms.Sementilli's fifth grade class read, "The Best Part of Me" by Wendy Ewald, and students discovered what part of them they liked the most!
The student then used literary devices, such as a simile, to improve descriptive writing skills.
"The Best Part of Me" gave the children the opportunity to delve deeper into their language use and discover what made their favorite “part” unique and special to them.
The poetry written was a beautiful platform that allowed their creativity to flourish!
