Tackan fifth graders "Moving Up"

June 18, 2024

“Please know we are extraordinarily proud of you.”

Tackan Elementary School Principal, Matthew Furey, addressed graduating fifth graders on Tuesday at Tackan’s annual "Moving Up" ceremony.

As family members and school administrators, including Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Assessment, Paul Strader watched, students marched onto the field to take their seats for the ceremony.

PTA President Michelle Abola told the students, “We are so excited to see what the future holds for all of you at Great Hollow and beyond. Change can be scary, but it’s an opportunity for new experiences as well. Always remember your roots and as long as you continue to live by the school motto you will always be successful. Work hard and be nice. Congratulations!”

After some lovely musical performances, students proudly walked on stage as their names were called.

Next up, Great Hollow Middle School!
