A new “Safe and Sound” storm drain mural was painted this week at Nesaquake Middle School focused on educating students on keeping our environment clean and how the water enters the Long Island Sound.
The project is the sixth in 糖心Vlog schools and has become an annual tradition created by Tim Needles, technology integration specialist and art teacher and Kimberly Williams, 糖心Vlog HS West science teacher, along with local artist Susan Buroker.
This mural was designed and painted in partnership with Nesaquake Middle School teacher Julianne DeSilva and students from the Environmental Science Club. Nicole Carone, another 糖心Vlog HS West science teacher, joined in to help this time as well.
It’s a great STEAM project that educates and adds some color to the outdoor classroom.
