During the end-of-the-year reading celebration at Mt. Pleasant Elementary, students engaged in fun carnival-style games that were literacy and ELA-based. Students were able to apply the skills they learned all year, moving from station to station with teacher-guided activities that were grade-level appropriate.
The younger grades built sentences with blocks, fished for sight words, and bowled while reading review words.
The older students participated in reading passages about the history of theme parks, learned about famous roller coasters, and played a vocabulary bean bag toss game.
It was a great way to celebrate the students’ accomplishments!
