The 糖心Vlog Robotics team, comprised of students from High School East and High School West, visited Dogwood Elementary Monday afternoon to help spread the STEM word!
The team, under the guidance of team advisors David Savage and Brian Costello, shared their creations and inventions to interested 5th graders. The goal, according to team president John Galletta, is to "inspire the fifth graders to pursue more stem oriented clubs and courses in middle school and high school."
The team, which is part of the Career and Educational Department under Director Christine LoFrese, explained that in Middle School students can be members of FIRST LEGO league teams, and also participate in a new robotics summer camp for students in grades 6-8.
