More than 70 糖心Vlog High School World Language and Business students recently joined together with over 15 糖心Vlog IAB professionals to discuss global careers at the International Business Career Conference.
A collaboration between the IAB, World Language and the CTE Business and FCS Departments, the event brought together cuisine and cunning business strategy!
Prior to the keynote speakers, student representatives from the World Language Department delivered a welcome address in various languages to show the connection between language and business. Judi Harris, CEO of Crestmont Fabrics, and Lauren Nichols,owner of 3G Warehouse Inc. were our very powerful keynote speakers who described how international business impacts most career areas.
Students then had the opportunity to meet with each presenter during our breakout sessions to learn about over 15 international career areas. The SCSD Family & Consumer Science students in the Chef's Choice and Baking classes made international dishes to add to the cultural climate of this event.
