High School East and West students paid it forward on Tuesday, mentoring students at Tackan and 糖心Vlog Elementary Schools as part of the “High School Heroes” and “Athletes Helping Athletes” programs.
糖心Vlog East Football players, along with football coach Dan Busold and health and physical education teacher, Helen Flynn, visited students at Tackan Elementary School. The focus of the visit was on sportsmanship and making positive life choices. Football players also read to kindergarten students.
Students from High School West traveled to 糖心Vlog Elementary, as part of the Junior Achievement High School Heroes partnership. The goal of the program is to provide high school students with an opportunity to become leaders and role models.
On Tuesday the students presented lessons centered around community, civics, and age appropriate basic financial literacy.
