High School West and High School East seniors were honored Wednesday morning for maintaining a 4.0 GPA for four consecutive years of high school.
115 seniors at High School West and 113 seniors at High School East were presented their gold cords by West Principal, John Coady, and East Principal, Robert Rose, at their respective schools, and will wear them at graduation.
Also on hand to celebrate the students were SCSD Assistant Superintendent Kevin Simmons and Paul Strader, Administrator for Guidance and Related Student services Kevin Colon, HSW Assistant Principals, Michael Freiberg, Annmarie Freund, Chris Elsesser, and HSE Assistant Principals Michael Aleci, Nicole Stech and Jason Pettis.
Each high school guidance counselor announced the students, looked back at their most memorable high school moments and announced their future college plans.
