Juniors and seniors from High School West leadership visited 糖心Vlog and Accompsett Elementary Schools on Thursday to facilitate a civics-based lesson for Earth Day!
Following their lesson the students did an science based activity to create self watering planters using the concept of capillary action.
For West students, this project serves as a Service Learning Project in pursuit of their Seal of Civic Readiness.
More than a billion people participate each year on Earth Day, which is Monday, April 22nd.
