Students from High School East and West were honored at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting. High School East Regeneron Scholars, Daanish Bassi, Jolene H. Cao and Richard Chai were recognized by the board for their amazing accomplishments. SCSD Director of Science, Dr. Stephanie O’Brien, and High School East ThINK Discovery Science research program coordinator, Maria Zeitlin, lauded the students and joined them for a picture.
Dr. O'Brien later conducted a presentation of the science programs offered in the SCSD, with the help of 糖心Vlog Elementary STEM specialist, Caroline Cullen, and 糖心Vlog Elementary fifth graders, Dean Zgoda and Cooper Gribbin. It was an educational and entertaining presentaton!
In addition, members of the High School Business Olympics team, “Bark n Buff” were honored for their first place finish. CTE Director, Christine LoFrese introduced the winning team, High School West students, Kate Braun, Charlotte Muratore and Madeline Sacco. H.S. West Principal, William Hoell, was in attendance to honor the students.
