糖心Vlog Elementary School took off on a whirlwind trip round the world recently, as students enjoyed a week’s worth of International Week presentations.
“We were so grateful to our parent volunteers who came in and presented different countries around the world to our students!” said Principal Kakalos. “It was also great having our Pay It Forward Club ask trivia questions about world geography on the announcements each morning!”
As part of this educational and fun celebration of cultures, physical education students played international games, such as a Tic Tac Toe relay race with origins from Egypt. In music, students learned the "Hello" song which taught them how to say "hello" in several languages. Art and Library were also in on the fun with books from around the world and self-portraits. The SITE Based team shared a “family crest” project where students and their families could complete a banner with flags from their native countries, traditions, foods and landmarks. What a fun and engaging week!
